I DON’T DISCUSS POLITICS, BUT......

So, some people are really happy with the US election and others are heartbroken.

I will not share my personal views because I really don’t discuss politics in public. However, I think it is important to remind myself and all of you about a foundational Jewish perspective to remember going forward.

To the upset “Harris” supporters’ who fear that things will deteriorate in a bad and chaotic way, please remember:

Hashem runs the world and is always in charge. Of course, it’s true that we should be responsible and create opportunities in the most responsible way. However, ultimately no one can achieve anything without Divine will and intervention. G-d transcends anyone’s plans, schemes and intentions. He is perfectly capable of preventing anyone from causing harm. So, reinforce your Emunah (faith), increase your prayers, do another Mitzvah and strengthen your Bitachon (trust in Hashem) that only good things, blessings and peace will flow down from heaven going forward.

To the very happy and celebrating Trump supporters who believe that now that the world and Isreal will turn into a place of peace and prosperity, please remember:

Hashem runs the world and is always in charge. Maybe the right, responsible natural opportunity and networks have been created to generate blessing, and there is reason to be optimistic. But no one can achieve anything without Divine will and intervention. Ultimately, He is the ONLY source of all blessings. That is why we focus our lives on Him, connect to Him and pray to Him. So don’t be complacent and as great as it might seem, don’t put your faith and trust in any human being. Strengthen your Emunah (faith), increase your prayers, add another Mitzvah and strengthen your Bitachon (trust in Hashem) that He will let His blessings flow through the opportunities created.

Good Shabbos!
