Discover Your Special Day

It’s hard to believe, but Rosh Hashanah is about six weeks away. Stay tuned for an amazing BINA program to prepare and experience these special days with depth and meaning. But today I thought I would just revisit a different type of Rosh Hashanah – your personal one.

A few weeks ago, I wrote an article about the significance and power of a Jewish birthday.

We discussed that the way to mark a birthday is with three G’s.

Gratitude- acknowledge and thank G-d for all the blessings we have in our lives.

Gladness – gather friends and family and celebrate the gift of another year

Growth – Reflect on the past and take one step you could take towards further growth in the coming year.

Just like Rosh Hashanah begins a new cycle, so too does the Hebrew birthday is our personal New Year blessing and a fresh opportunity for the year ahead.

So, as we approach the new year, I would like to encourage everyone to discover when their Hebrew birthday is with resolve to mark it in a meaningful way when it comes around. We at BINA will help you do this each year by reminding you and giving you some suggestions on how you can mark your birthday.

If you don’t know your Hebrew birthday, please email office@bina.com.au with the below details:

1) Your name

2) Your phone number.

3) Date and year you were born in the secular Calendar

 4) The time of day you were born (if you know this info).

Wishing everyone only happiness and blessings for you and your family.

Good Shabbos
